Adaptive aids, an integral part of assistive technology,  are appliances or controls which help a person with disability to increase his / her abilities to perform activities of daily living, participate in community and home activities. These devices are used to assist individual to perform activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, writing, play, and other self-care activities

Assistive aids are devices that help individual with disability to do something that they might not otherwise be able to do well or at all. People with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities that affect movement can use these devices to enhance their independence.

Verities of adaptive aids are available or can be made. A small number of adaptive aids are available in the open market also.
