Mode: Hybrid (Online + Onsite)
Duration: 36 Weeks (Online 35 weeks + 1 week Onsite)
Eligibility: All Registered Medical Professionals and Allied Health Care Personnel
with a valid registration from their Governing Council. Professionals
from Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Rehabilitation Therapy,
Developmental Therapy, Speech Therapy, Special Education, Clinical
Psychology and Assistive Technology background should have valid
registration with their apex body
Course Fee: Rs 12000/- only
- Become familiar with the classification, etiology and patho-physiology of developmental disabilities.
- Understanding how an infant or child is diagnosed with developmental delay
- Understand and differentiate single-system and multi-system impairments
- Discuss the role of different therapies in the management / treatment of developmental disabilities
- Become familiar with determinants of prognosis or outcome
- Able to prepare / design treatment goals and interventions for children with Developmental Disabilities
- Understand the importance of reducing primary impairment and preventing secondary impairment in the infant/child with DD
- Discuss the importance and significance of family involvement and key characteristics that must be observed
- Understanding the factors that must be addressed in preparation for the transition to adulthood in the adolescent with DD
- Become familiar with multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and trans disciplinary treatment / management model
